Research Assistant Position



The Butler Hospital Memory Disorders Program is seeking a Brown Psychology, Neuroscience or Biology concentrator for a research assistantship to work on projects studying cognitive aspects of normal aging, and on the cognitive, behavioral, neuropathological, and treatment aspects of Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Current studies involve MRI (structural, diffusion and functional), genetic factors in dementia. The research assistant will be involved in all phases of studies including subject recruitment, patient assessment, and data collection and analysis. Other responsibilities may include assisting in manuscript and grant preparation, creating slides for presentations and digital imaging and video editing on computer. There is excellent opportunity to develop independent study projects or honors thesis and to apply for UTRA fellowships. The research assistant will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary clinical research team with strong mentorship.
